Nikolai Gogol’s works and personality continually impress and excite his talent’s admirers, increasing interest and conflicting emotions, scaring with unsolved and some mystic misgiving. Gogol`s immortal comedy staged for the MAAT in 1930, sounds coincidentally modern and actual in its theatrical performance.
