One-act ballets "Underground" and "Друзі" in Kyiv!
The basis of the ballet "Underground" is the famous phrase "Hell is other people" from the play "Behind Closed Doors" by the French writer and philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre. However, this story, though close in spirit to the original, is about something else. "Underground" is about people driven into the dungeons by the war. Here, love intersects with hatred, and joy mixes with despair.
The ballet "Друзі" (Friends) is the story of four people. The lives of two women and two men are danced in front of the viewer's eyes. Everything that life consists of - from joy to sadness, from love to jealousy - can be conveyed through dance.
