About the show
When the words disappear, the choir begins to speak.
"Trojan Women" is an experimental performance in which the chorus becomes the main voice of a story about war, loss, and human endurance.
On stage, the actors create a powerful choral composition of voices, movement, and rhythm. The performance sounds in a language that does not exist, but which everyone understands - the language of music, the body, and collective experience.
This is a new Ukrainian interpretation of the legendary production by La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club (https://lamama.org/) (New York), created in collaboration with the international initiative The Trojan Women Project (https://thetrojanwomenproject.org/).
"Trojan Women" transposes an ancient tragedy into the context of modern warfare and transforms it into a powerful stage statement about resilience, memory, and the power of the human voice.
The premiere of the performance will take place as part of the international theatre festival KЇ FEST (https://l.instagram.com/?u=https%3A%2F%2Flinktr.ee%2Fki.fest%3Futm_source%3Dig%26utm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_content%3Dlink_in_bio%26fbclid%3DPAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQMMjU2MjgxMDQwNTU4AAGno-uEfOcqijRPMGFCdqxiLnCZ7XJ6e4xSqPOjqQ8Is1bvSkh2MMGvDzxFHqo_aem_-NbZTSKgbY_sUFzt0SdzCw&e=AT7oZKVcPLLN5Fm2bGopl4UrE1B2bg0gWxVhX_kWuGCL0nU3bnRheU9wHfiCdi7IzFAXnI6wRhs4dvRaNiyirAkci3vw3YmCwwrpNJP-IQ).
